"He's Got The Whole World..."

No matter where in the world I’ve traveled, stargazing is a favorite pastime. On my first visit to Australia, I was surprised to see a totally new field of stars in the southern hemisphere!

Even in the years when I struggled to accept any metaphysical evidence of a creator, stars have always filled me with a sense of wonder and majesty. They symbolize guidance, hope, and the connection between the heaven and earth.

When considering this topic, I was also inspired by SO many scriptures that declare the wonder and majesty of God through the cosmos.

Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Ah, Sovereign Lord, you  have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” (NIV)

An anonymous critic said, “The composition is a powerful reminder that we are all held in the loving embrace of a higher power, watched over with care and compassion.” 

In this painting, my attempt was to create a sense of peace and infinite grace.
