Original Oil on Canvas - 16” x 20” I've always loved ballet. I didn't have lessons as a kid, so when I got to college, I took a class. (Epic fail.). Turns out, ballet requires a certain body type... not mine. Then, when my children were still small, for several years, we attended the Oakland Ballet's Holiday Nutcracker performance. The ballet shoes in this still life were purchased there as a part of a fundraiser. (I also sewed the tutu!)
