This young lady was a friend's daughter. We had all the kids dressed up for "tea time" photos and she evidently tired of the dolls and tea and reclined on the lawn and started looking at the dandelions in the grass. I thought she looked so cute, I snapped a photo. Alas, the hat really shadowed her face in the finished photo. It took me some time to revisit the first attempt at the portrait and paint the light on her face I saw but the camera distorted.
