It was a dark and stormy night when I loaded my painting gear into the car and headed off to art class at the local high school. I was shocked to realize that I'd been in such a hurry, I forgot to pack the painting I was working on! A friend came to the rescue by giving me this canvas.
Now, what to paint?

The art classroom was a depository for many random arts and crafts supplies. I found this jar with some left over glaze, placed it on a table, and found a random cloth to create an instant still life.
To this day, I chuckle when I think of how well it turned out. It's testament to the fact that life is improv!
